Jacob at Anime Expo

Jacob (real name Jacob Grady) is the creator and main administrator of FAKKU!. A long time anime and video game enthusiast, he majored in Marketing & Web Design at college, where he created the first iteration of the site back in 2005[citation needed]. Since then, it has grown to be the largest English speaking hentai site in the world.

In recent years, he has assumed a schedule of regular visits to various anime conventions around America and Canada, as a guest panel speaker and stall proprietor. As a result of this and the huge increase in forum activity, he no longer posts as actively as he once did, but maintains a significant forum presence, intervening in threads forum-wide where necessary. Most active moderation is carried out by his appointed Fakku Staff.

Having frequently documented his travels with photos of himself, he is now renowned for both his undeniably majestic beard, and a fascination with his horse head mask - culminating in a notable dance video - which he is now barely to be seen without. He recently started a second company called Sanshee with two close friends, as an extension of his early convention stalls, which sold Fakku! shirts and badges. The site features products based on elements of popular culture, most prominently video games, as well as some limited Fakku-themed merchandise. Fans who wish to donate are encouraged to buy from there, as they cannot otherwise be taken for an adult site.

Controversy[]

As is natural of any administrator of a large site, he has incited debate and discussion amongst the user base, to whom he is both a great provider and a frustrating figure, struggling as he is with frequent, crippling site issues. He has as a result come under significant criticism, most prominently in the no-holds-barred Incoherent Babbling forum, largely directed at a perceived laziness, trial-and-error approach to alterations, and poor choices of staff. This discontent boiled over in the infamous forum exodus of 2010, and has driven several users to (or close to) the point of leaving in recent months. While minor improvements to the site continue to be made, this dissatisfaction has only intensified with the increasing frequency of downtime and the large loss of posts across the forums in March 2011.
