A variety of contests are ran on FAKKU every few months, with prizes given to the winners. Participants are generally asked to perform some task, or to compete against one another for the prize. Prizes range anywhere from hentai manga, to t-shirts, to love letters. In early 2008, Nikon recieved a box of hentai manga from Icarus Publishing containing printed English translated tankouban from a myriad of artists. These were immediately used for contests and are still given out as prizes to this day. Popular contests include MoteMote, manga page editing contests, Facebook contests, and random entry contests. More recent examples include the annual Pumpkin carving contests and the newly established writing contests.
